LiDAR and Aerial Archaeology

Introduction

This website is a repository for publicly accessible LiDAR and aerial photography maps and related sources. It has been set up to provide a smoother user experience for the members of the Facebook group ‘LiDAR and Aerial Archaeology’.

Resources

The LiDAR and aerial photography maps within the resources page have been arranged by continent, in order to give them some structure and make each country easier to find. This is a continually changing resource and will be added to as new sources become available.

Archaeological Registers

This section holds links to specific countries archaeological registers, some maybe searched in order to assess whether finds are known or not. This is also a continually changing resource and will be added to as new sources become available.

Training

Within the training section we have added the download links for QGIS, alongside its training manual and some videos to get you started.

If you wish to show your support, for the development of the website and group, we have added some merchandise in the shop.
